Lucknow: On the auspicious Tuesday of the month of Jyeshtha, senior BJP leader and former Acting Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Dr. Ammar Rizvi, organized a Bhandara at his residence in Aliganj and distributed prasad among the people and distributed cold drinking water etc. in this scorching heat.
Dr. Ammar Rizvi spent quality time interacting with the public and also shared his views about this unique festival in the city. Dr. Ammar Rizvi said that Bada Mangal is a unique example of Lucknow’s world famous Ganga Jamuni tehzeeb that has found resonance among all walks of life.
He said many of the temples of Lord Hanuman also typify that very culture of tolerance and amity. The city saw bhandaras happen in different areas which is done as a good deed to seek the blessings of the almighty. Originated in Lucknow, the festival has fast become popular in nearby districts.
